
Huaguo Zhou ,
Ph.D., P.E.
Dr. Zhou obtained
his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from University of South
Florida in 2001, and M.S. in Road and Railway Engineering in
1998 as well as BS in Railway Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong
University in 1993 in China. Dr. Zhou worked for Parsons
Brinckerhoff (PB) as a Transportation Engineer from 2001 to
2003. Since August 2003, he has been working as a Senior
Research Associate at the Center for Urban Transportation
Research (CUTR) of University of South Florida. His
specialties include: Highway and Traffic engineering, ITS,
Operational Effects of Geometrics, Access Management, and
Computer Simulation in Transportation. Dr. Zhou has been
actively involved in NACOTA activities, especially the NACOTA
annual meeting, since he was a graduate student in 1998.
He also presented several technical papers at recent NACOTA
China conferences. He is very interested in the latest
transportation development in China.
Statement
A strong leadership is the key to the success of an
organization. NACOTA has been very successful in the last decade
under the leadership of the past presidents and board members. I
believe that I have ideas and abilities to make NACOTA a
continued success together with the other board members. I look
forward to the opportunity and honor to serve you and NACOTA.
